 Police/Fire Compensation Survey Available

The 2008 Police/Fire Compensation Survey is now available. The Survey contains detailed police and fire salary and benefit data and is available to management representatives only.

AWC collects and compiles the data, in cooperation with WAPELRA (the Washington Public Employer Labor Relations Association). The 2008 Survey includes data for police officers in 92 cities, deputy sheriffs in 32 counties, and fire fighters in 51 city fire departments and 28 fire districts.

The survey results are available in an online reporting tool, allowing you to choose your own comparable jurisdictions and easily generate customized reports. The cost for the 2008 Survey is $50 – the order form can be found at www.awcnet.org/forms/PForder.pdf.

Labor Contracts Available Online

The police and fire labor contracts of most participating jurisdictions can be found on AWC’s online Labor Contracts and Arbitration Decisions Database. Purchase of the survey includes access to the contracts.

If you haven’t sent us your current labor contract yet, please forward a copy to Luann Daniels at luannd@awcnet.org and it will be posted online.

If you have questions about the Survey, please contact Deanna Krell at deannak@awcnet.org or 360-753-4137.
