State Offers Training to Other Public Employers

Did you know that cities, counties, and other public employers can take advantage of the State’s comprehensive employee training programs? The Organizational and Employee Development Services division of the State Department of Personnel offers a full range of training and development services for the State and its employees - and their services are also available to other public sector organizations.

Their classroom training programs cover a wide range of topics, from archives and records management to management and supervision. They offer numerous computer courses as well. This is a low-cost way to meet your short- and long-term organizational and employee development needs. Classes are scheduled throughout the state, so your employees may not even have to travel far.

For more information on their programs, go to http://hr.dop.wa.gov/training/Default.htm

For more information about the costs and registration procedures, go to http://hr.dop.wa.gov/training/register.htm#regother (scroll down the page to Registration Procedures for Higher Education, City, County, and Other Public Sector Employees).

If you have additional questions, contact Organizational and Employee Development Services at 360-664-1921 or traininginfo@dop.wa.gov.
