Changes at AWC

In June, Mike McCarty was named Association of Washington Cities chief executive officer (CEO). He began his career at AWC in 2002 as the director of Member Services and beginning in February 2009, he was serving as the acting executive director/CEO following Stan Finkelstein’s retirement. Prior to AWC, he had a successful twenty-one year career with the City of Shelton, spending most of his time as city administrator.

Tammy Fellin, the lobbyist for community safety and justice issues for the past 7 years, recently left AWC for a position with the Department of Employment Security. We wish her well in her new job and will miss her expertise on these legislative issues.
