City Legislative Action Conference (CLAC)
February 14-15, 2007
Red Lion Hotel, Olympia
The City Legislative Action Conference is just around the corner – less than three weeks away – but there's still time to register at www.awcnet.org/legconf and join us in Olympia to help move Washington forward.
Contact and Invite Your Legislators
If you are attending this event, please make sure you contact and personally invite your legislators to the following:
- The Wednesday evening Legislative Reception from 6-7:30 pm at the Red Lion Hotel; and
- A personal meeting with you to address issues your city and other communities are facing. Many city officials go to dinner with their legislators after the Wednesday reception.
Receive One Additional CML Credit!
Cards will be provided at CLAC for elected officials to confirm meetings with legislators and to share information about how your meetings went. These cards can be returned on-site or mailed back to AWC legislative staff after the event. One additional Certified Muncipal Leadership (CML) credit will be provided to mayors and councilmembers who return a completed card.
Be sure to check the AWC website at www.awcnet.org/legconf to see updates to the conference agenda. Among other things, information about the Wednesday afternoon legislative priority workshops will be added soon.
