AWC’s comprehensive site is updated regularly during the session, so you’ll be able to get the latest information about legislation that is important to cities. You can view the weekly AWC Legislative Bulletin, find bill numbers for those bills that support AWC’s 2007 Legislative Priorities, and view AWC Action Alerts – requests from AWC for immediate contacts to legislators as bills reach crucial points during the session.

You can view the web pages of the House of Representatives and the Senate, search for information about a particular bill, and find important contact information about legislators and their staff. From your computer, you can hear live audio coverage of all committee hearings, watch live TVW television broadcasts, or access recordings of prior events.

Local Government Fiscal Notes

The State Office of Financial Management coordinates the development of fiscal notes, which outline the fiscal impacts of various legislative proposals. From this site, you can search for the fiscal note for a particular bill, or get a complete list of fiscal notes published so far this year or in previous years.
