Local government leadership in Olympia

AWC Board President Karen Rogers (Port Angeles) and Washington State Association of Counties Board President Lynda Ring-Erickson (Mason County) joined forces in Olympia last week making the final push for city/county fiscal flexibility.  They met with a host of legislators pressing for local government assistance.  We did not obtain the “big win” but clearly displayed that cities and counties are united in our work to secure more revenue flexibility and tools to address the needs of our citizens.
