State operating budgets expected to be released next week

The Senate is expected to release their version of the State’s operating budget on Monday, March 30 with public hearings that afternoon and Tuesday. The House is expected to release their budget Tuesday, March 31 with a hearing that afternoon. This is our latest information and may change. Once released, we will review the budgets and distribute information to you electronically and post on our website, www.awcnet.org, as quickly as we can.

Please watch for calls for help over the last month on the budget and other issues. The pace has quickened and the mood has soured given the anticipated impacts of the budget. It is likely to be a very testy month and even the advancement of non-controversial items could stall for no apparent reason. We will need your help. Please respond to calls quickly!
