The Department of Community, Trade & Economic Development (CTED) recently announced $166,000 in Imminent Threat Grants for 2006. Imminent Threat Grants assist Washington communities in meeting unique, emergency needs that pose a serious, immediate threat to public health and safety. Eligible activities must be compatible with CDBG eligible activities that include but are not limited to improvements to water, sewer and drainage facilities. Applicants must be suffering from an immediate and urgent threat to pubic health or safety, verified by an independent source and supported by a formal declaration of emergency.
