Washington Traffic Safety Commission Grants
Applications due: May 13, 2005.
The Washington Traffic Safety Commission will be providing grants for projects costing up to $50,000. If you have an idea for a project that would reduce roadway injuries and death, go to their website at: www.wtsc.wa.gov. For information about how to access grant funds to support your project. Newstreets Program
NewStreets is TIB’s approach to assisting small cities in "getting ahead of the curve" with street maintenance and community revitalization. The NewStreets Program takes advantage of paving opportunities and making economy of scale work in favor of small cities under 5,000 population.
Bridge Replacement Project Funding for Small Cities (Population of 5,000 or less)
Since 1996, the TIB has provided the local match on federally funded bridge replacement projects and projects awarded federal TEA-21 funds. Federal programs typically provide funding for 80-86.5 and 90% of the eligible project costs. The TIB funds for local match ensuring small cities are able to leverage all available federal funding.
Small City BRAC Match Program
The intent of the Small City Bridge Replacement Advisory Committee (BRAC) match program is to assist small cities with their required local match. TIB can provide funding up to 20% of the Federal eligible costs. This program is available to cities with a population less than 5000.

Safe Routes to School Training Program
Due Date: May 9, 2005
Registration is now being accepted for the Safe Routes to School training program scheduled for May 9, 2005 at the North SeaTac Park Community Center.
